I actually did make a video.

I ended up making a video blog for my band. So without further adieu...

I'm done lying.

I've been making claims that I will be improving this thing from the beginning. I'm finally just going to be honest. It's not going to become anything more than a couple pointless posts that I put up here to make sure that I am still doing well in this class and the occasional story.

This weekend was pretty fun. On Thursday (when my weekend starts) this girl (Lauren) came over and we carved pumpkins. It was awesome one because I've been trying to hang out with her for a long time now and two because she had never carved pumpkins. I thought that was insane but apparently some families don't believe in taking a knife to a perfectly harmless pumpkin (or maybe they don't like cleaning up the bits of pumpkin off of their sidewalk after some stupid kids run by(uh oh double parenthesis, that used to be me and my friends) and smash them). I just broke some huge English law I just know it.

Anyway, we gutted and carved our pumpkins then put candles in them and took some pictures.
Yes, vampires. Why? Well at first it was because that was all I could think to carve into my pumpkin then it became about Lauren's favorite book series, Twilight. Which, by the way, she gave to me to read and I might actually end up liking it.

Friday night I had band practice so that was pretty standard, not too much from the normal. Just a run through on songs followed by some Papa Johns.

Saturday I traveled to Whitewater to watch my sister and high schools marching band competition. Waukesha West has only been a school for 15 years and 12 of them have brought home a state title. The last two years though there has been a type of upset with Waukesha North. Now when I say upset I mean there's a judge on the panel that scores them really highly for some unknown reason (family member, paid really well, whatever else you can think of). Now I am a little biased since it is my sister and alma mater but when I watched Waukesha North's show I was just bored. The music was simple, the steps simple just everything involved was just BASIC. There was a school called Oak Creek and I felt like they did better than North but somehow ended up with third behind us even. Whatever, politics will always exist and corruption doesn't get solved by replacing people apparently.

Theres my rant on high school marching band, pathetic.

Sunday I did nothing, it was nice.

Well, I'm outtie 5000. Keep it sleazy.

I keep no promises

When I began this blog I had in mind that I would make this into a video blog or V-log. Well, obviously that hasn't happened.

I guess I can talk about my weekend.

This weekend I had a show in Green Bay at this venue called the Riverside Ballroom. This place was once home to acts such as Richie Valens (La Bomba) way back in the day and now they have just about the same stuff hanging up. Pretty much the same carpet, same drapes, same staging, etc. We played in between a couple metal bands, which for us is not uncommon but difficult because the crowd is always a little shell shocked before they get into our music. The set was pretty much near perfect which is what we have been going for since New York because we badly want to get onto either a label or a good managment company.

After the show we drove an hour an' fifteen minutes to get to my bassists' familys' summer home. This place just happens to be huge and perfect for parties, but there is no one to party with when you are in Waupaca, WI, dead mans zone America.

Once we settled down a little bit I made tacos on one of those skillet things best used for pancake making. It was interesting because in order to stir the meat I had to basically go back and forth for about twenty minutes with my spatula. But I will say this, I make some darn good tacos. Around two o'clock in the morning we passed out only to wake up a couple hours later so that we could make it back to our second show of the weekend in Rockford, Illinois.

This is my band's myspace (www.myspace.com/undyingallegiancerock) and we actually recorded a v-log this weekend that should be up within the next couple days. WOO!

For now though here is one of my favorite videos on youtube right now.

I now have a way to edit.

This morning before I left my house I got an editing program on my computer. I created an intro/production sign on with a little bobbing flamingo that I have in my room. I still haven't decided whether I am going to try my hand at a comedic series of videos similar to YouTube's DerrickComedy or the Smosh videos or whether I will just do a boring first hand account of my day just over video because that's fantastic and everyone wants to watch that. (extreme sarcasm)

At any rate, I need a nap. But because I don't live down here I can't exactly do that. I cannot wait to be done being a comutter, it's driving me insane.

I want to leave.

Soooo
I put a couple applications on my page. Chizeck them out.

Technical difficulties

So for this first blog I was going to try and get a video blog started. After a couple failed attempts at getting a video editing program on my computer I have given up for now and will resort to just typing.

I'm not really sure what I want to talk about yet, or even if I want to keep this up. If I do though I am sure that there will be some video as soon as I get some spending money and get what I need.

I guess that's all for now because I created an account and that's all we had to do.
